Meet the Industry Night
Each year, the ATPA sets aside one very special night for all of the academy's participating partners to come together in an informal atmosphere in order to "meet one another," renew friendships, network with others, and to hear a motivational speech from an automotive industry professional. All individuals in attendance (students, parents, Academy staff, SCHS administration, CUSD administration, Capistrano-Laguna Beach ROP administration, CUSD and ROP Board of Trustees members, and friends of the academy) have all said that this night is always a highlight of the San Clemente High School year. The primary academic purpose of the evening is to provide an opportunity for the academy students to meet and talk with automotive industry professionals.
The secondary purpose of the evening is to recognize our many dedicated business partners, and have a respected representative of the automotive industry come forward to help motivate our students by encouraging them to stay in school and continue their education. The final purpose of the evening is to have fun. The evening is usually held in the Triton Center. In addition, outside of the center the "Friends of the Academy" have graciously consented to stage a Classic Car and hot Rod show during the festivities. This portion of the evening continues to grow each year!
Parents are encouraged to become actively involved with the planning, decorating, and performing other tasks that are necessary to make this a memorable evening for our students. Parents can volunteer to help by calling the academy office at (949) 366-9843. All parents will receive an invitation and are encouraged to attend this prestigious event.
