Academy Portfolios

During the student's three years in the academy, the Academy Administrative Coordinator maintains a personal file in the academy office for each student.  The purpose of these files is to give the students a place where they can keep all of their academy documents (like their sign-off sheets, Internship Evaluation, letters of recommendation, etc.), awards, certificates, resume, and scholarship information.  Students, Parents, and academy staff may place pertinent information and documents in the file at any time.  Students, Parents, and academy staff may review the file at any time. At the completion of their three years in the academy, all of the documents in the students' file are transferred into the students' portfolio.  The purpose of the portfolio is to provide the student a permanent record of all of their Academy work.  They can then take their portfolio with them when they leave San Clemente High School and use it whenever they are asked to show evidence of their high school experience.  The academy portfolio itself is a professional, black leather and brass binder that has the students' name embossed in gold lettering on the front.  The contents of the portfolio will very according to the effort applied by each individual student, but the following is the recommended minimum contents of the binder:
  • Letter of Introduction from the Principal
  • Letter of Recommendation from the Academy Director
  • High School Diploma
  • Students' Resume
  • Students' High School Transcripts (optional)
  • Internship Evaluation from the Supervisor (if applicable)
  • NATEF Automotive Sign-off sheets
  • Saddleback Articulation Certificate (if applicable)
  • ROP Internship Completion Certificate (if applicable)
  • ROP Internship Perfect Attendance Certificates (if applicable)
