Student and Parent Responsibilities
AVID STUDENT PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES
At the beginning of each academic year, AVID students sign a program contract to show their commitment to the AVID Program's philosophy and expectations so that they can be successful in the program. AVID seniors sign a slightly different contract because of the nature of the Senior Seminar course. Parents also sign the program contract to show their commitment to the AVID Program. AVID parents are expected to attend AVID parent meetings and encourage and support their children throughout the college process.
