Dear Triton Families,

 

Welcome to the 2026–27 school year!

 

As I begin my third year as principal of San Clemente High School, I continue to feel incredibly fortunate to serve a school and community that mean so much to me. As both a parent and an SCHS alum, I know firsthand the pride, tradition, and sense of belonging that come with being a Triton. I am excited about the year ahead and the opportunities we have to build on the great work happening across our campus.

 

San Clemente High School has a long tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, activities, and the arts. That tradition is strengthened every year by the dedication of our students, staff, families, and community. Our motto, “One Town, One Team,” reflects who we are and reminds us that our greatest success comes when we work together.

 

As we begin this new school year, our work remains focused on three key areas: academic achievement, professional collaboration and growth, and community and culture.

 

Our highest priority is ensuring that every student is challenged, supported, and prepared for what comes next. We will continue strengthening Great First Instruction, providing rigorous and meaningful learning experiences, and using student learning evidence to guide our work. Through our academic programs, real-world learning opportunities, and targeted student supports, we want every Triton to have a pathway to success in college, career, and life.

 

Our teachers and staff are committed to continually improving their practice. Through strong Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), our educators collaborate around what students need to learn, how we know they are learning, and how we respond when students need additional support or greater challenge. This collaborative approach helps us create greater consistency, strengthen instruction, and keep student learning at the center of our work.

 

What makes SCHS special goes far beyond the classroom. It is the relationships, traditions, school spirit, and shared experiences that connect generations of Tritons. We want every student who walks onto our campus to feel known, valued, supported, and proud to be part of San Clemente High School.

 

Families are an important part of that culture. Strong communication and partnership between school and home help our students thrive, and we remain committed to keeping you informed, engaged, and connected throughout the year.

 

I am excited about what lies ahead for San Clemente High School. Thank you for your continued trust, partnership, and support of our students and staff. Together, we will continue building on our tradition while creating new opportunities for every Triton to learn, grow, and succeed.
